Outreach Services:

Support Counselling:
In person or by phone, allowing women, children and teens to be heard, explore options and make plans for their future

Support Groups: 
A confidential, safe place for women to explore their choices and learn new skills

Advocacy:
Help gaining services from other agencies such as Legal Aid, Community Services, etc.

Referrals:
If requested, to other agencies such as schools, mental health, housing, etc.

Information:
On women abuse, women's rights, services available in the community, safety, relationships, and communication skills

Workshops/Public Education:
Offered to community groups and schools to raise awareness of violence in our community.

 

Shelter Services:

Counselling:
In person or by phone, allowing women, children and teens to be heard, explore options and make plans for their future.

  Our Purpose

   To Eliminate Violence Against Women in

   Nova Scotia by:

  • Working collaboratively with other equality seeking organizations, and the three levels of government, to address barriers that prevent women, and their children from living free of Violence and Abuse
  • Advocating for sufficient programs, services  and funding  for Transition Houses in Nova Scotia
  • Increasing public awareness of Violence and Abuse in our society
  • Conducting and/or participating in Feminist Participatory Research
  • Providing training and networking opportunities for Boards and Staff of our Member Organizations
