How Bryony House Can Help You
Once you call Bryony House, you are offered confidential help and support. You may want to call just to discuss your options.
If you are in immediate physical danger, Bryony House will make arrangements for you and your children (if you have any) to come to the House. Once there, you are safe.
Bryony House's location is secret. No woman in urgent need is ever turned away.
While at Bryony House:
You can stay at Bryony House for up to six weeks. While there, you will receive information on medical, legal, financial, employment and housing resources.
Most importantly, you and your children can receive counselling and have a chance to talk openly with others in similar circumstances. We can help you with medical, legal, employment
and housing information.
Our Purpose
To Eliminate Violence Against Women in
Nova Scotia by:
- Working collaboratively with other equality seeking organizations, and the three levels of government, to address barriers that prevent women, and their children from living free of Violence and Abuse
- Advocating for sufficient programs, services and funding for Transition Houses in Nova Scotia
- Increasing public awareness of Violence and Abuse in our society
- Conducting and/or participating in Feminist Participatory Research
- Providing training and networking opportunities for Boards and Staff of our Member Organizations
